This one’s a little more nuanced. Consultants don’t usually “broker” a deal directly. Instead, they advise—often behind the scenes or alongside a client’s internal team. They might help with:
- Market research
- Aircraft selection
- Technical evaluation
- Fleet planning
- Contract reviews
Consultants are usually paid hourly or per project. Some work under NDAs and never touch the actual negotiation. Others will act as the “first call” before the client even hires a broker. The key here is that consultants are advisors, not necessarily dealmakers.
This role is growing—especially among UHNWIs, corporate buyers, or aviation legal teams that want third-party insights before committing to a deal.
